The Fort Worth Botanical Gardens!!

This is the best free place to visit if you are ever in Fort Worth. With over 100 types of flowers and trees spread out over...oh...numerous acres(so I don't know the exact acreage...sue me) , plus the Concert In The Park which runs through the 4th of July, it's always a good time.

As you can see, the roses are slowly making their way back into their little homes. But what a view, eh?

If you're curious enough, you can find the secret path that will take you...here. Basically it's not much more then some paths and creeks, but it is a neat place to indulge in some hide 'n' seek.

Emily: "Daddy, I really have to go to the bathroom!"
Me: "Okay...lessee...ooh, I see a sign with 'bathroom'!! Let's go there!"

(after going there and reading the sign)

Me: "Aw man...you gotta be kiddin' me!"
Emily: "Oh why, why is this happening!?"

Moral of the story: Sometimes a sign with the word "bathroom" on it is just that - a sign.

This is the first thing you see as you enter the conservatory area. I had no idea clocks could run on pollen...or can they? I doubt it...but what if...

Yes, so true this is...without trees, we wouldn't have...furniture...and firewood...and birdhouses, which is ironic because birds live in the trees and yet we cut them down to make birdhouses that we hang from...trees. (Sigh) if you ever wondered what a "Catch-22" is...now you know.
